I get asked a certain question A LOT, so I wanted to blog about it. The question is…..drum roll please…”Will I save time taking formals pictures BEFORE the ceremony?” The answer is yes IF you are going to see each other before the ceremony! The answer is NO if you are NOT seeing each other before the ceremony. Why is this you ask? Well, it’s simple. You are getting married which means your combining families! Yes, you may want one photo of you, your parents, and your siblings with just you (and not your new groom), but then you are also going to want that same picture WITH the groom. It is 100% easier to simply take the groom out of that grouping, take the shot, and be done, than to set that same shot up before and after the ceremony (with lighting and the whole set up). Time saving too!
If you want to see each other before the ceremony we could arrange a “First Look” about 2 hours prior to the ceremony in which you have a few moments of seeing each other for the first time, holding hands, and loving on each other before we start taking formal pictures of everybody together (family, bridal party, etc.). After the ceremony then you can go straight to the reception!
